Summary Report: Phase II Consultation
Phase II of the consultation program launched on June 1 and concluded on August 17. The objective of this phase was to explore the evaluation criteria that would be used for choosing a solution for improving interprovincial transit. During the second phase of consultation, the Project Team solicited input on two sets of questions. The first set was on the five transportation pillars that had emerged as a result of Phase I input, which included: Land Use; User Focus; Governance; Operations; and Infrastructure. The second set was six categories of evaluation criteria that would help to further develop the Strategy and included: Image of Canada/Branding; Benefits to the User; Benefits to the Community; Sustainability; Achieves Planning Visions; and Realistic.
